ARTIST STATEMENT:
Painting is a personal practice that allows me to enter my subconscious through curiosity and play that’s otherwise inaccessible. I’m not precious with my work, and lean into its imperfections, because I am also imperfect.My art intends to explore "daydreaming as a form of dissociation” through bright colors, scribbles and objects that try to elicit a feeling of nostalgia and better times. - ALEX FITCH
